Hey, today I will be sharing the fast experiment we did in science today.

Aim: To demonstrate how to heat a liquid inside a test tube.

Equipment: Bunsen Burner, Heatproof mat, lighter, test tube, test tube tongs, safety glasses.

Method:

1. Light the Bunsen burner.

2. Fill your test tube to approximately 5 ml water.

3. Turn the collar at the Bunsen burner so it is a blue flame.

4. Holding the test tube with test tube tongs. Tilt the test tube on 45 degree angle and place the bottom of the test tube into the flame Ensure that the mouth of the test tube is not pointing towards anybody.

5.gently wave the test tube in and out of the flame. Remember you are trying to boil the water .

6.once the water starts  to gently bubbly, take it away from the flame..carefully pour the hot water into the sink.
