Wonder

This week we watched a movie about Bullying and how it hurt a boy called Auggie. He had a older sister called Via. He was picked on because of his face disorder. 

When he was wearing a mask on Halloween he heard his friend say that if he looked like him he would kill himself.

This made Auggie feel sad and upset. 

Here’s a quote from Auggie: I feel ordinary inside but I know ordinary kids don’t make other ordinary kids run away.

The theme of the story is about kindness,bullying,courage, diversity,family, friendship, identity,perception, isolation, acceptance.

FLOODS

Floods

Hello everybody so I'm going to be talking about the floods that happened on 29 May that went for two more days . It happened in Christchurch and most of it happened in Ashburton where the Ashburtn River flooded. 

For some people it was fine because they had a roof over their head and were dry inside their              houses, but for some people it wasn't really good some people houses were leaking from the top of their roofs.

In Ashburton, the river was rising rapidly and the army was sent in case residents needed  to be evacuated. Half of the town's residents would have to be evacuated if the river breached the stopbanks. 

Now everything is slowly getting better but I hope this type of thing does not happen again. What do you think about this?
